Airsoft BBs for Every Airsoft Gun
Choosing the right airsoft BBs significantly affects the accuracy, range, and overall performance of your airsoft replica. The weight of BBs determines their flight characteristics and how much power the gun will need. Options include standard plastic BBs, biodegradable BIO BBs, and a wide range of weights suitable for AEGs, gas-powered guns, and airsoft sniper rifles.
- 0.12 g BBs – the lightest airsoft BBs, intended for manual spring-powered airsoft guns and ideal for throwable airsoft grenades.
- 0.20 g BBs – the standard for electric airsoft guns (AEG). They offer a balanced mix of speed and accuracy. Ideal for both beginners and experienced players.
- 0.25 g – 0.28 g BBs – better precision and flight stability. Suitable for more powerful AEGs and gas pistols. This weight is among the most commonly used in airsoft.
- 0.28 g – 0.36 g BBs – heavier airsoft BBs for high-performance replicas (AEG). Also suitable for most GBBR guns. They provide greater accuracy over medium to long ranges and are less affected by wind.
- 0.36 g BBs and above – heavy BBs for airsoft sniper rifles, ideal for long-distance precision shooting. These have excellent flight stability and are recommended for strong manual or gas-powered sniper platforms.
BIO BBs (biodegradable airsoft BBs) – an eco-friendly option for outdoor play. Made from materials that naturally decompose in the environment. It is recommended to store BIO BBs in a dry place, as moisture can deteriorate their quality and cause deformation.
Tracer BBs, also known as glow-in-the-dark or fluorescent BBs, are designed for use with tracer units (installed in suppressors or hop-up chambers). Once illuminated during firing, they glow and leave a visible trail – perfect for night games, CQB, or mil-sim scenarios. Available in both green and red, and in various weights.
Choosing the right weight and type of BBs gives you an edge in the game – whether you're focused on long-range sniping or rapid CQB fire.
