MRE Meatballs with basmati and tomato sauce

Meatballs are originally from Italy, but have conquered the world. We mixed our ground beef meatballs with basmati rice and seasoned with parsley. Then we just added pepper and salt. The sweet tomato sauce is a classic of root vegetables and tomato puree, with a light hint of cinnamon. We chose the ratio of meat to basmati rice so that the dish is completely balanced as a whole, but if you make pasta to go with it, you get a regular two servings for a hearty lunch or dinner.
