X-ASR is the first 4th generation mosfet with polarity reversal protection.

It is compact - saving space, time and money as there is no need for an additional current fuse. It acts as an electronic watchdog for your AEG. It has increased durability and resistance, newly also with an automatic LED test.

The X-ASR is designed for springs up to M120, a stronger spring can be used if load motors are used.

What makes the X-ASR mosfet so special?

• No additional current fuse is required.
• Automatic polarity reversal protection - protects the motor and the mosfet itself in the event of accidental polarity reversal (e.g. switching cables during installation). Polarity reversal no longer destroys the motor or electronics and can be continued without problems after proper wiring.
• Smart fuse - protects the mosfet when the motor is stuck. Protects against overheating, overvoltage and short circuit. In the event that the power of the gun is beyond the capabilities of the MOSFET, the Smart Fuse disconnects the entire MOSFET to prevent it from overheating.
• Integrated automatic test - status indication with 2 LEDs.
  Protective coating - military specification MIL-V-173C guarantees protection against harsh atmospheric conditions.

What is the biggest advantage of X-ASR?

• Mosfet - transfers power from the battery directly to the motor, bypassing the trigger contacts. As a result, the gun has a higher cadence, responds better to the trigger and there is no scorching of the contacts.
• Debouncing - provides full compatibility with microswitches and provides resistance to contact shock (vibration). This gives your gun a higher cadence, faster trigger response and makes the MOSFET less prone to overheating.

What are you protected against with X-ASR?

• When the motor jams, the mosfet is not burned due to high current and overheating - it is safely disconnected.
• When polarity is reversed (e.g. RC mini-tamiya connectors have the opposite polarity as used in airsoft, confusion when installing wiring) no damage to the battery or electronics will occur.
• When using weak NiCd/NiMH batteries, the mosfet is not damaged by low voltage.
• When insulation is damaged and short-circuited, neither the mosfet nor the batteries are damaged.
• The mosfet is protected against adverse atmospheric conditions.

Below the line

With respect to its functions, the X-ASR is an improved version of the NanoASR MOSFET. When designing the X-ASR, the manufacturer focused more on its reliability.

One of the goals during development was that it must go installed without any additional fuse. All other MOSFETs offered require an additional current fuse when installed. To eliminate this necessity, a Smart fuse and reverse polarity protection was implemented in the X-ASR.
