The mainspring is designed for electric guns (AEGS). It has a non-uniform structure, which greatly extends the life of the system by minimizing seizing however, provided the spring is installed correctly. In a standard system, the spring allows BBs to be fired with a muzzle velocity of approximately ~500 - 520 FPS.
